East Mountain waltzed into their game on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Sandia Prep Sundevils. The Timberwolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Sundevils, too.

Christopher Moya was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Cole Hitchcock was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

East Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sandia Prep only posted an OBP of .385.

East Mountain pushed their record up to 13-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Sandia Prep, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: East Mountain beat the Sundevils by a score of 17-2 later that day.
