Volleyball Recap: Kenston Forest Comes Up Short

After flying high against Banner Christian on Tuesday, Kenston Forest came back down to earth. The Kavaliers lost 3-0 to the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights on Thursday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 26, 2023, but that streak is no more.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 27-25.

Kenston Forest's offense was headlined by Kardin Jones and Hartly Andrews, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Naomi Knowles and her 12 assists. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ruth Torres, each putting up three.

Kenston Forest's loss ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12-1. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Kenston Forest wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Fuqua on the 20th. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against The New Community School on the 20th.
