Softball Game Preview: Upper Sandusky Rams vs. Carey Blue Devils

The Upper Sandusky Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Carey Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Upper Sandusky has given up an average of 7.1 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Upper Sandusky is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Shelby just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 18-4 to the Whippets. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since March 23rd.

Meanwhile, Carey narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Arcadia 5-3. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Redskins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Bayah Harsanje, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Bouillon, who went 3-for-4 with one run.

Carey was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arcadia only posted a batting average of .231.

Upper Sandusky's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Carey, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Upper Sandusky was able to grind out a solid win over Carey in their previous meeting on Monday, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
