Preview: Solebury Spartans vs. Hill School Rams
Solebury is 0-5 against Hill School since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Solebury Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Hill School Rams at 4:45 p.m. on January 16th. Solebury has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 210 points over their last three contests.
After soaring to a 29-point victory in their last game, Solebury came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of Phelps by a score of 77-74. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Solebury has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, Solebury had strong showings from Tyler Simpson, who scored 36 points, and Joell Idrovo, who scored 27 points. Simpson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last ten times he's played.
Meanwhile, Hill School's four-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Saturday. They secured a 53-49 W over Blair Academy. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Hill School has managed all season.
Solebury has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Hill School, their victory bumped their record up to 1-3.
Solebury lost to Hill School on the road by a decisive 74-58 margin in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Solebury avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
