St. Joseph Academy and University Christian squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but St. Joseph Academy had to settle for second. They lost 8-2 to the Christians. The Flashes' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

St. Joseph Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Mullahy, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Eli Robshaw was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

St. Joseph Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 23-8-1. As for University Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-8.

While St. Joseph Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
