Baseball Game Preview: Indian Creek Timberwolves vs. Serena Huskers

The Indian Creek Timberwolves will head out on the road to challenge the Serena Huskers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Indian Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Indian Creek came up short against Newark on Tuesday, falling 16-2.

Tyler Bogle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Serena came out on top against Gardner-South Wilmington on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Huskers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Panthers a 5-0 shutout. The Huskers have beaten the Panthers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Wesley Hendricks and Ryne DeBernardi did most of the damage at the plate: Hendricks went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while DeBernardi went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave DeBernardi a new career-high.

Serena's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Indian Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Indian Creek might still be hurting after the 15-4 loss they got from Serena in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Timberwolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
