Softball Recap: Eureka Finds Playoff Glory Versus Midwest Central/Illini Central

It's playoff time, and Eureka had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Midwest Central/Illini Central Raiders on Monday as they made off with an 11-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-4 back in March.

The victory made it two in a row for Eureka and bumps their season record up to 15-16. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Midwest Central/Illini Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Eureka didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Canton on the 21st. Midwest Central/Illini Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
