Lincoln won the last time they faced Branham and things went their way on Friday too. The Lincoln Lions walked away with a 3-1 win over the Branham Bruins. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Bruins are ranked 674th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Lincoln and bumps their season record up to 7-6-4. As for Branham, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will square off against Pioneer at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Branham, they will face off against Mt. Pleasant at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Pleasant's last six matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
