Basketball Recap: Pellston Starts off Right with Win over Onaway + How To Watch

Pellston took care of business in their home opener on Wednesday. They strolled past the Onaway Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 62-43. This was payback for the Hornets, who suffered a 70-39 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pellston had a senior duo take command as Joshua Grondin dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards and Connor Keller posted 15 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Grondin's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan O'Rourke, who scored eight points and eight rebounds.

Onaway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Pellston will head out to challenge Johannesburg-Lewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Onaway has already played their next matchup (against Forest Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
