Basketball Recap: Odyssey Charter School Takes a Loss

Odyssey Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Freedom Patriots, falling 65-31.

Despite the loss, Odyssey Charter School had strong showings from Jevenson Antoine, who posted 13 points, and Zion Jones, who earned eight points. That was a full 41.9% of Odyssey Charter School's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Freedom's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riccardo Palombarini, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Palombarini's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Adam Negede was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points.

Odyssey Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Freedom, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-10.

Odyssey Charter School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-43 loss against IMG Academy Silver on the 24th. Freedom has also already played their next contest, an 83-46 victory against Circle Christian on the 24th.
