Walsh took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. They really took it to the Primero Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-37 victory. The Eagles not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since September 5, 2024 (when they won 66-6).

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Walsh's defensive line and their three sacks. Leading the way was Maddox Gourley with two.

When it comes to explaining why Primero lost, don't look at Gabe Sintas. Despite the final result, he threw for 233 yards and three TDs while completing 86.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 30 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Ralsten LePlatt, who picked up 70 receiving yards and one score.

Coming up, Walsh will host Mountain Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Primero, they will head out on the road to square off against Manzanola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
