Baseball Recap: Windsor Owls vs. Perryville Pirates
Windsor had lost 11 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 6-13 to make it 12. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Perryville Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Wednesday.
Windsor saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Malachi Boxdorfer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That hit was Boxdorfer's first of the season.

On Perryville's side, the result came thanks to Troy O'Keefe's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 13 Ks. O'Keefe also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Pirates are 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Dalton Fritsche was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Waylon Huber, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
