Basketball Recap: Adena Takes a Loss

Adena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 42-33 to the Paint Valley Bearcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-30 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paint Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson M Free, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 rebounds. M Free has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played. Braylon Robertson was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Adena's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Paint Valley, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Adena and Northwest will face off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Paint Valley, they will face off against Zane Trace at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
