Basketball Recap: Mercy Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, Mercy finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 68-18 loss at the hands of the Skutt Catholic SkyHawks. The contest marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mercy now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Skutt Catholic, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mercy and Duchesne will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Skutt Catholic, they will face off against Omaha Central on January 31st.
