Soccer Game Preview: Wilson vs. Eagle Rock

Wilson hasn't had much luck against Eagle Rock recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mules will welcome the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Wilson's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Wilson hadn't beaten Franklin on the road since January 13, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Mules came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, Eagle Rock hasn't lost a match since December 10, 2025, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lincoln a 2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Eagle Rock's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 369th, while Lincoln are ranked 1085th).

Eagle Rock has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those nine matches. Wilson's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10-2.
