Basketball Game Preview: Clint Lions vs. Bowie Bears

Clint and Bowie are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Clint Lions will head out to face off against the Bowie Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Clint is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Chapin just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Huskies, falling 49-26. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Lions struggled afterwards.

Despite the loss, Clint had strong showings from Chloe Arredondo, who posted six points and six rebounds, and Anabella Portillo, who had eight points and five rebounds. Portillo is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for Bowie, as they earned their first road win of the season. They secured a 30-26 W over El Paso on Tuesday.

Bowie's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Clint, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.

Clint came up short against Bowie in their previous meeting back in November, falling 41-37. Can Clint avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
