Ashlyn Carder posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Carder and Lakewood will face off against Johnstown-Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Carder's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Lancers' ten-game streak of wins at home.
