Recap: Mission Valley Vikings vs. Veritas Christian Eagles
In what's become a running theme this season, the Mission Valley Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They really took it to Veritas Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-13 win on the road. The squad ran away with 37 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Mission Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lillie Foster, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. Foster hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Taylor Brammell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Mission Valley pushed their record up to 7-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points per game. As for Veritas Christian, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Mission Valley will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Madison at 4:30 p.m. Madison will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Veritas Christian, they will face off against Maranatha Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
