Football Game Preview: Stanton Blue Devils vs. Westside Wolverines

The Stanton Blue Devils will square off against the Westside Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Stanton 10.5, Westside 15) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, Stanton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 20-14 to Eagle's View. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Blue Devils came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Warriors are ranked 251st).

Meanwhile, while Westside put up some points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Parker. The Wolverines simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Braves 27-0. The Wolverines pushed the score to 20-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Braves had little chance of recovering from.

Stanton's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Westside, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
