Pompton Lakes put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wood-Ridge Blue Devils a 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won ten matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Pompton Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Wood-Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Pompton Lakes will be playing in front of their home fans against Hawthorne at 4:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Wood-Ridge, they are taking a road trip to take on Dumont at 4:15 p.m. on the 9th.
