Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Malakoff). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Eustace Bulldogs 56-0. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1119th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Malakoff is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.3 points over those games. As for Eustace, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Malakoff will face off against rival Rains at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Eustace is set to challenge their familiar foe Commerce at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
