Basketball Recap: E.E. Smith Takes a Loss + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 22-22 at halftime, E.E. Smith was not quite Hillside's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 56-53. The Golden Bulls have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, E.E. Smith saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nick Smith went 7-for-13 en route to 15 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Smith is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Patrick Barber, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 13 points and six boards.

E.E. Smith's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hillside, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
