Rome extended their winning streak  to six  on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They breezed past the South Paulding Spartans to the tune of  62-22. Considering the Wolves have won five matchups by more than 20  points this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
As for South Paulding, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while Rome is ranked 21st).
 South Paulding's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Isaiah Ford, who picked up 98 receiving yards and one  touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of  Demarian Ward, who rushed for 68 yards and one  score on only nine carries.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. Rome will take on New Manchester at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Jaguar's defense has only allowed 11.9  points per game  this season, so the Wolves' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for South Paulding, they will head out to  take on East Paulding  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three contests.
