Basketball Recap: Shawnee Mission Northwest Comes Up Short on the Road Against Blue Valley West + How To Watch

Shawnee Mission Northwest kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 64-57 to the Blue Valley West Jaguars. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Looking ahead, Shawnee Mission Northwest will take on Derby in a tournament on Friday. As for Blue Valley West, they will be taking part in a tournament against Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
