            Baseball Recap: North Babylon Bulldogs vs. Newfield Wolverines        
        
		
        
        
            North Babylon won the last time they faced Newfield and things went their way  on Friday too. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Wolverines by a score of  5-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Bulldogs.
 Ryan Camier spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Tristan Garcia, who  went 3-for-4 with two  doubles and two  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high.  TJ Oppedisano was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  run and one  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North Babylon  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least 11  hits in three consecutive  matchups.
North Babylon's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Newfield, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record  this season.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. North Babylon will  challenge  rival Half Hollow Hills East  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Newfield is set to  take on  their familiar foe Copiague  at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
