Basketball Game Preview: Sumter County Panthers vs. Kendrick Cherokees

The Sumter County Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Kendrick Cherokees at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Sumter County strolled past Kendrick with points to spare, taking the game 70-55. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Cherokees are ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kendrick has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season. As for Sumter County, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
