Softball Recap: Riverside Extends Winning Streak to Four

Riverside extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 14-6. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Wade Hampton Generals. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Bella Lupinacci was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ella McGrath, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Riverside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

As for Wade Hampton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

On Wade Hampton's side, Louise Markel and Sanaii Rivers did some serious damage despite the final result: Markel went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Rivers got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Breleigh Betsill, who went 3-for-5 with one run and one double.
