Basketball Game Preview: Bayside Bears vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

The Bayside Bears will challenge the Bloomingdale Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Bayside sitting on seven straight wins and Bloomingdale on eight.

Bayside is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Heritage out 52-49.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bloomingdale against Viera on Thursday as the squad secured a 66-23 victory. The Bulls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 matches by 36 points or more this season.

Bayside better focus on containing Izellah Kendrick and Jayla Griffin as the pair were huge in Bloomingdale's win. Kendrick almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, while Griffin went 5-for-7 to rack up 15 points and four steals. Griffin is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jennie Gutman, who went 5-for-7 on her way to 10 points and three steals.

Bloomingdale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Bloomingdale's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Bayside, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.
