Basketball Recap: Margaretta Extends Home Winning Streak to 17

Margaretta put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 83-42 victory over the Vermilion Sailors. Fans of the Polar Bears have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Despite the loss, Vermilion still got an impressive performance from Brock Meyers, who went 6 of 11 en route to 17 points.

Margaretta pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Vermilion, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Margaretta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-50 victory against Johnstown-Monroe on the 28th. Vermilion and Firelands will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Vermilion is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52 points per game this season.
