Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bushnell-Prairie City). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 56-28 win over the Peoria Heights Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Spartans have posted since February 5, 2024.

Despite the defeat, Peoria Heights had strong showings from Sylvia Thornton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, and Laila Burks, who posted five points. That was a full 50% of Peoria Heights' points, marking the 16th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Bushnell-Prairie City's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 3-12. As for Peoria Heights, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-27.
