It's playoff time, and Northshore had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their defense stepped up to hand the Dutchtown Griffins a 5-0 shutout on Wednesday. Northshore might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

The win (which was Northshore's fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-7-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five matchups. As for Dutchtown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15-2 record this season.

Northshore will challenge Denham Springs on Monday. Dutchtown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
