Football Recap: Knight Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Knight extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-6. They took a blow against the Lancaster Eagles, falling 51-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 36-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Lancaster, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.3 points.

Michael Marsenich continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 288 yards and four touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 39 yards and one score. His passing game has become a key predictor of Lancaster's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Arthur Turner was another key player, gaining 147 total yards and two touchdowns.

Knight wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 26-14 win against Littlerock on the 24th. As for Lancaster, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-7 victory against Highland on the 23rd.
