Volleyball Recap: Overton Gets the Win

Overton won the last time they faced Alma and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Overton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Alma to exactly 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19.

Overton's offense was headlined by Gracen Hughes and Daisy Ryan, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Kyla Elfgren and her 18 assists. Halynn Hughes controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Overton's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Alma, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Overton will take on Gibbon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alma, they will venture away from home to square off against Southern Valley on Tuesday.
