St. Thomas More came tearing into Thursday's matchup with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Highland Baptist Christian Bears by a score of 2-0. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

Abby Strother paced St. Thomas More's offense, picking up seven kills. Strother got some help from Clare Thomson and her 12 assists. Morgan Dunn controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

St. Thomas More's victory bumped their record up to 32-5. As for Highland Baptist Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-15.

Coincidentally, St. Thomas More and Highland Baptist Christian will both be playing Vandebilt Catholic the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Terriers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bears will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
