Basketball Recap: Santee Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Andrew Serano and Darnell Miller

After flying high against Westbrook on Monday, Santee came back down to earth. The Falcons fell 65-58 to the Torres Toros on Wednesday.

Despite the defeat, Santee had strong showings from Darnell Miller, who posted 23 points, and Andrew Serano, who earned 21 points. Miller's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 23 points.

Torres' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Adam Rodriguez led the charge by going 5-for-10 on his way to 17 points and four steals. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Jeremy Escobar was another key player, dropping a double-double with 18 points and ten boards.

Santee dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Torres, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Santee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 71-54 defeat against Hawkins on the 8th. As for Torres, they have also already played their next matchup, a 60-30 victory against Westbrook on the 8th.
