Football Game Preview: Silver Lake Mustangs vs. Garden County Eagles

The Silver Lake Mustangs will square off against the Garden County Eagles on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Silver Lake comes in on three and Garden County on nine.

Silver Lake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 39-28 victory over Arthur County. The Mustangs pushed the score to 39-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolves cut but never quite recovered from.

Brody Knehans had a dynamite game, picking up 203 receiving yards and three scores. Those three receiving touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lanham Skrdlant, who rushed for 115 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Silver Lake didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jaxon Tenbensel and Landon Duester.

Meanwhile, Garden County humbled Crawford with a 73-18 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight games by 37 points or more so far this season.

Silver Lake's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Garden County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0.
