Volleyball Recap: Clarkton Comes Up Short

Clarkton lost against Portageville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Reindeer came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Reindeer have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-16.

Clarkton's offense was headlined by Peyton Bevill and Lyla Hernandez, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Arissa Vincent and her 20 assists.

Portageville can attribute much of their success to Lexi Priggel, who had 12 assists and seven digs.

Clarkton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17-1. As for Portageville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 25-5.

Clarkton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Kennett on the 7th. Portageville has also already played their next matchup (against Puxico), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
