            Volleyball Recap: Miami Country Day Spartans vs. Calvary Christian Academy Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Dr. Krop  on Friday, Miami Country Day came back down to earth. The Spartans took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the  3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in September of 2024.
 Miami Country Day started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-20,  25-19.
 Miami Country Day lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Ashley Geller, who  had 18  digs and two  assists.
 Among those leading the charge was   Sofia Linares, who  had ten  digs and four assists. Those  four  assists gave  her a new career-high.
Miami Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their victory  ended  a  six-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 9-11.
 Miami Country Day didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-0  win against Oxbridge Academy on the 8th. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  3-1  victory against St. John Paul II Academy on the 1st.
