Baseball Recap: Pahrump Valley Wins Going Away Against Lee Williams

While Pahrump Valley didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Lee Williams Volunteers 12-1 on Saturday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Benny Cimperman looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk).

On the hitting side, Vinny Whitney and Aidyn Cratty did most of the damage at the plate: Whitney went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Cratty scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Whitney has posted since back in March of 2024. Dominik Wilson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Pahrump Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Pahrump Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Lee Williams, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Pahrump Valley will host Mojave at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pahrump Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 1.2 runs per game this season, so Mojave's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lee Williams, they will take on White Pine in a tournament on Thursday.
