Flag Football Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a strong season so far, St. Francis has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 19-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitney Wildcats. The Troubadours were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 26-6.

Although St. Francis took the loss, they still got scores from Tayli Paeu-Lindgren and Monet Zauner.

Whitney found their leader in sophomore Lulu Im, who threw for 157 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 76 yards.

St. Francis' loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Whitney, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Coming up, St. Francis will challenge Folsom at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Troubadours will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.05 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Whitney, they will host Oak Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 6.1 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
