Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Taylor

Trinity Christian Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Taylor on Thursday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Alex Low looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trinity Christian Academy let Braden Flores and Richaun Amaro run wild. Flores scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Amaro scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Flores is becoming a predictor of Trinity Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-14 when he doesn't). Caden McManama was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Trinity Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Taylor only posted a batting average of .167.

Trinity Christian Academy's record now sits at 10-14. As for Taylor, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Coming up, Trinity Christian Academy will welcome Legacy Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Taylor, they will face off against Father Lopez at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
