Baseball Recap: Islip Comes Up Short

Islip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Sinai Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-1 loss on Wednesday.

Islip's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mount Sinai, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Islip wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-1 loss against Kings Park on the 5th. As for Mount Sinai, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Miller Place on the 5th.
