The Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles will challenge the Temecula Valley Golden Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Capistrano Valley Christian has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with three straight losses, while Temecula Valley will come in with four straight wins.
Things were looking good for Capistrano Valley Christian after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Mission Viejo by a score of 8-7.

On the hitting side, Jack Gallo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Dominic French was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Even though they lost, Capistrano Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission Viejo only posted a batting average of .261.
Meanwhile, Temecula Valley had just enough and edged out Trabuco Hills 3-1 on Thursday.
The team relied heavily on Rocco Pugliese, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taden Krogsgaard, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Temecula Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Capistrano Valley Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Temecula Valley struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
