Volleyball Recap: North Tampa Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Academy at the Lakes

North Tampa Christian Academy's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Academy at the Lakes Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-11.

North Tampa Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Ashton Vancura, who had seven digs and two aces.

North Tampa Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.

The victory got North Tampa Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Academy at the Lakes, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Tampa Christian Academy will welcome Winthrop College Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Academy at the Lakes, they will be playing at home against Sports Leadership & Management at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
