Football Recap: St. Mark's Takes a Loss

St. Mark made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. John, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 27-24 on Friday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

St. Mark's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for St. John's, the win also got them back to even at 4-4.

Coming up, St. Mark's will be playing at home against Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. John's, they will head out to challenge Episcopal School of Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
