Volleyball Recap: Grayson Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Grayson won the last time they faced Mountain View and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rams came out on top against the Bears by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Grayson took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12.

Laila Holley had an outrageously good game as she had ten aces and five digs. Those ten aces gave her a new career-high. Michaela Payton also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Grayson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Grayson is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Mountain View, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-24.

Grayson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against North Gwinnett on the 20th. As for Mountain View, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Collins Hill on the 20th.
