Volleyball Recap: Montrose Find Success + How To Watch

On Saturday Montrose's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the University Bulldogs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Montrose was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 21-25, 19-25, 25-17, 15-13.

Montrose can attribute much of their success to Amaya Potter, who had nine digs and five assists.

Montrose was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches.

Montrose's record now sits at 12-0. As for University, they moved to 10-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Montrose wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Village on the 4th. As for University, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Grand Junction Central on the 4th.
