Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastern). They breezed by the Southern Wells Raiders to the tune of 83-36 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Comets with their most commanding win of the season.

Southern Wells' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Joshua Aulbach, who posted eight points and six boards, and Cj Reber, who put up eight points and three steals.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Southern Wells, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Eastern will be playing at home against Rossville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rossville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Eastern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southern Wells, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-40 defeat against Muncie Burris on the 28th.
