Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against Prior Lake Christian

Valley Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Prior Lake Christian Royals 76-33 on Monday. Valley Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-17.

Elijah Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Prior Lake Christian, almost dropping a triple-double on 24 points, ten rebounds, and nine steals. The contest was Wilson's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Morgan, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Prior Lake Christian and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Francis Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 13, 2025. As for Prior Lake Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cambridge Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
