Volleyball Recap: Tewksbury Memorial Takes a Loss

If Tewksbury Memorial was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North Andover last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redmen lost 3-0 to the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers on Wednesday. The Redmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountaineers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Tewksbury Memorial was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-15.

Julia Vettese went supernova For Wachusett Regional., getting 22 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Vettese has posted since back in October of 2024. Ari Catalfamo was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

Tewksbury Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Wachusett Regional, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
